Irene (Daniels) and Joseph Bellone Sr. recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on July 28, 1962, at St. John's Church in Uncasville by Rev. Hebert.

Irene retired from the Town of Montville Board of Education where she worked for many years as a cook and specialty baker. She also made wedding cakes for many couples for years. Joseph is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked at Rand-Whitney (Robertson Paperbox) and retired from security at Foxwoods.

Irene and Joseph still reside in Montville. They have three children, Joseph, Veronica, and Corina, and six grandchildren.
