Let's conduct a mock campaign for congressman. I'll run, as an independent, against the politician from East Lyme, a Republican, who repeatedly ignores Republican dictum to keep government out of private sector business and the elimination of entitlements.
He succumbed to borrowing to satisfy an appetite for spending and more spending to appease financially secure taxpayers who never feel pain during a faltering economy but feel "entitled" to more and more spending with other people's money. Spending, causing unnecessary pain for the unemployed and taxpayers not financially secure.
Spending, authorized by a system called referendum where voters were oblivious to the additional cost of the proposed spending. Spending that works against affordable food and shelter for the common masses that may go to bed hungry and cold. Spending, to use farmland for a ballfield instead of a potato field. Spending that encourages our youth to excessively play at moving a ball around instead of work at growing healthy food for the poor and hungry. Spending, that prevents the availability of land for affordable shelters. Spending that's favorable to financially secure taxpayers that already have their affordable shelters.
Spending, that impedes my quest for an affordable democracy for all Americans.
