New London -- The Faith in Action Network of Lawrence & Memorial Hospital will sponsor a lecture on tragedy and loss, featuring two authors whose books offer insights on coping with some of life’s most difficult experiences.

The free event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the hospital’s Baker Auditorium.

Nancy Rupert, author of “View From the Snow Globe,” will discuss her husband’s struggle and eventual death while dealing with cancer and chemotherapy. Shirley L. Pierce Bostrom, author of “Funny—He doesn’t Look Like A Murderer,” will discuss her journey from grief to advocacy while coping with the murder of her daughter.

For information, call Mary McGrattan, registered nurse, at (860) 442-0733.
