The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut is seeking member volunteers to walk with the Chamber's float during the Groton Holiday Lights Parade that begins at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.

The event is sponsored by Groton Utilities and Thames Valley Communications.

Each year, the chamber has a float in the parade. Any interested member can contact the chamber at (860) 701-9113.

Following the parade, a tree lighting ceremony is planned, and there will be opportunities for children to have their photos taken with Santa. The parade begins at South Road and continues along Route 1 before ending at the Groton Shopping Plaza.
