Norwich police arrest alleged crack dealer

Norwich – Police Friday arrested an alleged city crack cocaine dealer following an investigation that lasted several months.

Police arrested Jean Joseph, 29, at his 51 Freeman Ave. residence around 1:40 p.m. and charged Joseph with possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine and sale of crack cocaine.

Police said a search of Joseph turned up crack cocaine and more than $1,000 in cash.

Joseph is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Nov. 29 in Norwich Superior Court.
