In a departure from business-as-usual, the Branford Chamber of Commerce's annual dinner included a performance by comedic hypnotist Dan LaRosa (far right). Here, LaRosa prepares some willing volunteers for hypnosis after the Chamber awards were presented and new board members inducted.
Held at WoodWinds in Branford, the annual dinner kicked off with a cocktail hour sponsored by Liberty Bank. Chamber President Edward Lazarus gave the welcoming address. Awards were sponsored by Chamber Insurance Trust. Winners were: Steve Glick, owner of Chamber Insurance Trust-Video Production; Nellie Green's and owner Mike Savinelli-Business After Hours of the Year; Robyn Sandler-Business After Hours Co-Host; Attorney Dave Minicozzi-Volunteer of the Year; Alcoa Howmet-Community Service Organization; Sir Speedy-Business of the Year; and Diane Zorich of Sonas Med Spa and Weichart Realtors Shoreline Properties-Val Karlawish Distinguished Service Award.
