USS Dallas crew members join Texas parade

Groton - The commanding officer and several crew members from the USS Dallas visited Texas Nov. 8 to 12.

Cmdr. Jack Houdeshell, the commanding officer of Dallas (SSN 700); Senior Chief Fire Control Technician W.D. Williams, chief of the boat; Sonar Technician First Class Adam Lowrey, the sub's senior sailor of the year; and Machinist's Mate Second Class Andrew Stowers, the sub's junior sailor of the year, participated in a Veterans Day parade in Dallas and met with members of the Navy League, students and children at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.

"This is a great opportunity to return to our namesake city especially on Veterans Day weekend," Houdeshell said.
