Wreaths Across America event planned in Groton

Groton — A Wreaths Across America event will be held at the Submarine Memorial East on Bridge Street Dec. 12 at 9 a.m.

A caravan will be making a stop in Groton to lay a wreath at the Submarine Memorial, in addition to offering wreaths to be placed at other areas of military significance in Groton.

Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery begun by Maine businessman, Morrill Worcester, in 1992. For more information visit: www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.
