Classic Christmas tale sends wrong message

I advise people to boycott all future "A Christmas Story" movie marathons on TBS. For the record, the movie is about a boy who wants a BB gun for Christmas, in which I find no humor whatsoever after what happened Dec. 14 at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. After learning that a crazed gunman killed 26 innocent young children and teachers, plus his own mother and himself, why should we watch or support a movie that deals with a kid's obsession with guns?

Instead we should all care about what guns did to those precious victims in Newtown who would have been celebrating Christmas instead of mourning for their loved ones.
