The Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association has honored Jamie Lohr of Stonington, co-owner of Westerly-based Guardian Fuel, as 2012 Marketer of the Year.
"She is an example of an active, articulate marketer, willing and able to speak her mind with legislators," said ICPA President Gene Guilford in a statement. "We need more like her."
Guardian Fuel, also co-owned by Jamie's husband Randy Lohr, has diversified its offerings to include biofuel, gasoline and diesel along with heating oil. The company has many customers in the Stonington area.
The ICPA recently held its annual convention in conjunction with the Oil Heat Institute of Rhode Island.
