Despite our heartache over the Newtown catastrophe; we must go on. We need to teach our children to love and to eliminate the word hate from their vocabulary. We need to hug our children more and listen to them and foster the twinkle in all of their eyes. As adults, we need to lead our children and show them the way. We are their example. And above all, we all need to go on living. Just like the Who's down in Whoville who woke up to emptiness, we need to join hands and keep singing and treasure our children each and every day of the year. As Tiny Tim resounded in The Christmas Carol, "God bless us, every one."
May the spirit of the Christmas just passed bring us all peace and hope for the future of our land.
