Norwich – City officials are reminding residents that the Rose City Senior Center is open during the day as a warming center, and the winter homeless hospitality center has evening and Sunday hours during the current cold snap.
The senior center at 8 Mahan Drive is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The homeless shelter in the lower level of 307 Main St. opens at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 5 p.m. on all other days and is open all day on Sundays.
St. Vincent de Paul Place soup kitchen is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday.
Any Norwich resident experiencing problems with heat should call Norwich Human Services at (860) 823-3778.
