NAACP youth group hosts public safety forum

Norwich – The youth council of the Norwich NAACP branch will sponsor a public forum Feb. 27 on public safety, mental health issues and “balancing safety and responsibility.”

The forum will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. next Wednesday in the community room at United Community and Family Services, 47 Town St.

The forum will have four components: identifying mental, social and behavioral issues contributing to violence and how to get help, educating the public, safety and the public and next steps.

The forum is free and open to the public.
