Criticism of president was too low a blow

As someone who has never written a letter to the Day, I felt compelled to after reading Feb. 14 edition. I was quite upset after reading letter entitled "Obama should consider abortion a holocaust." This was a "low blow" to our president as the writer insinuated the president's tears weren't sincere regarding the tragedy in Newtown. Whatever side of the fence one is on regarding the abortion issue, the tragedy in Newtown is not part of it.
The letter was also disrespectful to those who have lost loved ones in this senseless tragic event. Tragedy in Newtown should be synonymous with senseless gun violence, not abortion.
