The United States Coast Guard Band Chamber Players

.The program, called Winter Winds, features a diverse group of works from many musical genres. Musician 1st Class Nathan Lassell performs two Gavottes by J.S. Bach on marimba, and Musician 1st Class Charlie Suriyakham performs composer Artie Shaw’s Clarinet Concerto with the Coast Guard Band rhythm section.

The concert also includes a high energy reed quintet “Circusmuziek” by Ton ter Doest, featuring oboist Chief Musician Barrett Seals, clarinetists MU1 Noel Marcano and MU1 Christopher Howard, saxophonist MU1 Jeff Emerich, and bassoonist MU1 Tom Reynolds. Two trios are performed; Arcangelo Corelli’s baroque composition, Sonata Da Chiesa, and Madeleine Dring’s tranquil Trio for flute, oboe, and piano.

This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Leamy Concert Hall is accessible to the handicapped.
