Going Baroque, Again!

Cathedral Concert featuring the Norwich Diocesan Choir, orchestra, and soloists in a varied program of 18th century sacred masterworks. Under the direction of Douglas Green, Cathedral Music Director, the program will feature Antonio Vivaldi’s “Magnificat” along with two solo concertos by Georg Frideric Handel. Soloists for “Magnificat’ will be Mary Beth Lee, soprano; Patricia Johnson, mezzo-soprano; Richard Schumacher, tenor; and Joseph Gervais, bass. Handel’s “Organ Concerto No. 13 in F Major” will be performed on the Cathedral’s chamber organ by Michael McCarthy, accompanist for the Norwich Diocesan Choir. Oboist, Anne Megan, will perform Handel’s “Oboe Concerto No. 3”. Several works by Heinrich Schutz will also be included in the program.
