Arts Lecture: Russell Oberlin

On Sunday, November 4, the Arts Commission of Christ Church will be honored to welcome Russell Oberlin, famed countertenor and lecturer. He will give a talk on his career, which has included founding and performing with New York Pro Musica Antiqua, as well as collaborations with many musical notables such as Robert Shaw, Glenn Gould, Leonard Bernstein, and Sir Georg Solti. In 1960, Mr. Oberlin sang the role of Oberon in the premiere of Benjamin Britten's Midsummer Night's Dream at Covent Garden in London. The event is free and open to all; reception will follow with the opportunity to meet Mr. Oberlin.
