Have some questions? Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions for quick answers.

What is Zip06?

Zip06 is the digital news division of Shore Publishing covering the towns along the CT shoreline between New Haven and the Connecticut River. It is a community news platform that aims to not only provide up to the minute local news and information but also provides a platform for community engagement where registered users can share opinions, photos and information with their neighbors. Join in the conversation!

Are you connected to my weekly newspaper: the East Haven Courier, the North Haven Courier, The Sound, The Source, Harbor News, or the Valley Courier?

Yes! The newspaper that arrives free each Thursday in your mailbox is created by the same staff that runs Zip06!

Do you publish the Shore Line Times?

No. The Shore Line Times is published by the New Haven Register. You can contact them at 203-789-5200.

Will you publish my stories, photos, or events?

Yes! Registered members of the Zip06 community can contribute stories, photos, and events.

If I submit through Zip06 will my story, photo, or event be printed in my local newspaper?

Not yet! We're still working on making this happen. For now, if you want something to appear both online and in print you should submit to the website and also email news@shorepublishing.com

How do I submit a story or announcement?

If you are a registered user of Zip06, please click here to submit. If you have not yet registered, please click here to do so and then submit away!

How do I submit an item to the events calendar?

If you are a registered user of Zip06, please click here to submit. If you have not yet registered, please click here to do so and then submit away!

What is 'News From You'?

'News From You' is exactly what it sounds like: It's news from you!

This is the special place on Zip06 where all of the news submitted by members of the community winds up. Do you have an article you want to publish? Are you getting married? Did your child make the honor roll? Those are all examples of news from you!

Do I need to create an account?

No. Creating an account with Zip06 is completely optional. You can read all of our stories, browse calendar items, watch videos, and browse photos without ever creating an account.

Some users, however, will want to create an account to submit events to the calendar, post stories and announcements, participate in some online contests, and comment on stories.

The choice is completely yours.

How much does it cost to sign-up for an account?

Zip06 accounts are 100% free. Signing up will only cost you a few moments of your time.

How do I register for an account?

It's easy to register for an account. Just click here and fill out the short form. After that you will need to check the email account you register with for a confirmation email. Click the link in the email and you'll be all set!

There's a photo or story that ran in the newspaper that I would like a copy of.

For a story, use the Search box in the navigation bar on this page to enter the words related to the headline of the article or contents. The story you are looking for should be found in the search results. If you cannot find the story, please email news@shorepublishing.com.

How can I get a copy of a photograph?

All staff photos that ran in the newspaper or on Zip06 are available for purchase via this website by clicking the Buy Photo link under the photograph. Simply put your keyword into the Search box on the navigation bar to look for your photo. If you still cannot find the photo, please email news@shorepublishing.com.

I want to share a story that ran. How can I do that?

You can use the Share icons on the page that the article appears on to email or post the article link to your social media page.

Can I get a copy of an old issue?

If the issue is within the last three weeks, we should still have copies of it in the office. Just send an email to shorecirculation@shorepublishing.com, and we will check for you. Past that timeframe, we keep very limited copies of the newspaper in archives. We recommend using the Search box on this website to find your story, and you can share the link via email or social media. If you want the page from the printed newspaper, contact us at shorecirculation@shorepublishing.com and we might be able to pull a pdf page for you out of the electronic archive.

I'm having a problem receiving the paper at my home.

Oh no! We are sorry. Please email your issue to shorecirculation@shorepublishing.com and we will troubleshoot the issue for you.

I have never received a newspaper at my address and would like a free subscription.

Please click here to fill out our Delivery Request Form, and we will commence delivery to your home within 1-2 weeks.

I no longer wish to receive this newspaper. How do I unsubscribe?

Please email your cancellation to shorecirculation@shorepublishing.com and we will remove your address from the list.

How do I contact someone at the newspaper or this website?

We would love to hear from you! Please visit our Contact Us page for a full list of departments, email addresses, mailing address and phone numbers.

How do I advertise?

Are you hiring? Do you accept interns?

We are always on the look out for talent to add to our team! If you feel you can help make our organization a better place with your contributions, we would love to hear from you! Email your resume and interest to miksis@shorepublishing.com.

I have a question that isn't answered here.

If you have a question about the website, please contact our Digital Media Manager Laura Robida at l.robida@shorepublishing.com.
For other questions, please call 203-245-1877.
