The Hot Steamed Jazz Festival presents a free gospel service under the tent at the Essex Steam Train yards on Sunday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m. Worship to the sounds of hot New Orleans jazz from musicians and bands such as boogie-woogie pianist Bob Seeley, The Festival All-Star Band with Jeff Hughes, vocalist Jane Campedelli and child vocalist Jason Senn from Essex, CT.
Connecticut's own prodigious pianist Jeff Barnhart leads the service. A free will offering is requested, which goes to local charities.
