Patrick Orange of Colchester uses his metal detector at Ocean Beach Park in New London at sunset Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. Orange said that the shifting sand due to Hurricane Sandy last week has brought more metal items to the surface making it easier for him to find several coins and some costume jewelry Thursday.
