End of an Era: Guilford Water Tank Comes Down

Connecticut Water’s Clapboard Hill Water Storage Tank, built in 1914 on Tanner Marsh Road in Guilford, was dismantled on March 11. The water company said the tank, which sits on town property, was well past its useful life and hadn’t been used for years. A 1.32 million gallon tank in Madison off of Ridge Road now serves he area.
