Paul Choiniere is the editorial page editor of The Day. Before taking that position in May 2007, Paul covered a wide variety of topics for The Day during a 20-year reporting career, including municipal government, the nuclear industry, health, the environment, regional development issues and politics. Paul grew up in Providence and is a 1979 graduate of the University of Rhode Island. A member of the National Conference of Editorial Writers, the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information and Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc., Paul has won numerous reporting and opinion writing awards. He lives in Griswold with his wife, Kathy. They have three sons, two grown and one in high school.
