Senior Staff Writer
Pam Johnson: In July 2001, I was offered a wonderful opportunity to get on board with a young, promising news organization, Shore Publishing Newspapers LLC. I joined the group as Staff Writer for the Guilford Courier, bringing eight years of local reporting experience with the Shoreline Times (covering Madison and Guilford) and the Branford Review (covering Branford and North Branford). During my eight years with the Guilford Courier, I’ve never been lacking for great stories and have been delighted to be a repeat recipient of several CT Society of Professional Journalists awards, as well being selected for the CT Library Association News Media Award (2004) and the Greater New Haven Planning for Children and Youth Committee Media Advocate of the Year Award (2007).
In a past life (pre-kids and somewhat newly married) I was marketing director for Bob's Stores for two years; and prior to that, marketing director for the New Haven Register (at the ripe old age of 27). I cut my teeth on newspapering when I joined the Register staff at the age of 22, and I do believe I have "ink in my blood."
