I truly believe the Griswold property purchase to be an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the town. Every generation has the opportunity to
define our town for the future. The town has made smart purchases before-the Braemore property and Surf Club are two fine examples. The purchase has the support of many town committees to include: the Board of Finance, Planning & Zoning Commission, Board of Selectmen, and Beach & Recreation Commission. I find the cost to be very reasonable with the average homeowner paying $69 per year to fund the bond. In the long run, I believe this property with its open spaces and recreational opportunities will add to the overall value of our homes.
I will be voting "Yes" on Jan. 26.
