An autopsy performed on the Groton woman found dead in a freezer Sunday night was inconclusive.

The Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner performed the autopsy on Madeline Brisson Wednesday and it was ruled pending further study and more tests are needed to be done.

Groton Town police Monday charged Luis F. Otero with murder. He was arraigned in New London Superior Court Tuesday and ordered held on $2 million bond.

The warrant for the incident is sealed.

Police have said that Otero walked in to the city police station and reported an "unusual incident." Police there reported it to town police who later discovered the body.

Brisson’s body was found in a chest freezer at 1184 Gold Star Highway, the home she rented and was living in with Otero.
