Mashantucket - A Massachusetts man was arrested at the MGM Grand Hotel casino Thursday after surveillance cameras revealed he had taken hotel property.
Police said Melvin Wilson, 29, of Great Barrington, was seen on camera with two bags containing items that Wilson admitted taking from a room that was not registered in his name.
The items included the entire inventory from a mini-bar, towels, a clothing iron, light bulbs and batteries from a television remote control.
Wilson was charged with third-degree larceny. He was released on a $500 bond pending his appearance March 25 in New London Superior Court.
The Day hosted a web chat with New London Mayor Daryl J. Finizio to discuss the beginning of his new administration and news out of the city's police department.
