New London - Four people, including a 16-year-old girl, were arrested by city police Wednesday after a fight resulted in the slashing of a girl's face.
The fight among several females occurred at Laurel Drive and Fern Street Wednesday, police said.
A 16-year-old girl slashed the face of another juvenile girl, causing injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
"The injuries are not life-threatening, however they are severe facial lacerations and for a young girl that is very serious," said Deputy Chief Marshall Segar.
Both of the girls were not named because of their age.
The 16-year-old girl and Adrian Davis, 19, of 187 Willetts Ave., were charged with accessory to first-degree assault and breach of peace.
Tatia Spann, 44, of 187 Willetts Ave., was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace.
Mia Davis, 20, of 187 Willetts Ave., was charged with second-degree breach of peace.
The Day hosted a web chat with New London Mayor Daryl J. Finizio to discuss the beginning of his new administration and news out of the city's police department.
