New London High School Principal Tommy Thompson told hundreds of friends and family of the 2010 graduating class Friday to cheer their hearts out for the 156 seniors.

And they obliged.

The graduation ceremony at the Coast Guard Academy football field was loud. It was raucous. It was joyous. It was fun. It was a rowdy and supportive way to celebrate a major life accomplishment. What a great group of kids.
