Avid locavores flocked last week to Dinners at the Farm, a series of benefit dinners that recreates a sense of connection to farming, cooking, and eating. In its fourth year, the six-course, "open-air celebration" kicked off with six dinners at Barberry Hill Farm in Madison and will conclude with six more at White Gate Farms in East Lyme all throughout the month of August. The sold-out event accommodated 160 eager diners, featuring a night of fresh-picked, professionally prepared culinary splendors by the Dinners at the Farm team, which worked non-stop into the night.
