Anderson Bros. Sanitation agreed to donate its time and money to help me with my Eagle project by excavating the St. Andrews preschool playground. On Aug. 9 around 9 a.m., Anderson Bros. arrived at St. Andrews with an excavator, a dump truck, and four guys to operate them. Quickly they got to work and after a couple of hours the small group of men had excavated and transported the old mulch and pea stone out of the 2,000-square-foot playground. Vinnie Anderson, the owner, drove the dump truck and transported five loads of ground cover, two of which traveled all the way to Deer Lake Scout Reservation. While at Deer Lake, Mark Clifton joined in and managed to take one load of pea stone in his trailer. I really appreciate the work they did because they not only donated their service, they did an incredible job.
I can't thank Anderson Bros. enough for the outstanding work it did. I am a 14 year-old boy going for Eagle and Anderson Bros. didn't hesitate to help me out. Its contribution to this project is appreciated not only by me, but also the many preschool children and church members for years to come. I will always remember Vinnie's generosity when I think about this milestone in my life.
