Extremists may view mosque as monument

If the Muslim religion is as loving and peaceful as its members and supporters claim, its leaders would not be insisting that a mosque be built so close to the site where the World Trade Center once stood.
Let the facts speak for themselves. Muslim extremists have declared war on the U.S. Why? Because we are the infidels and do not believe as they do; therefore, they feel they must convert us or destroy us.
This mosque could be considered by extremists as a monument to the great victory the terrorists achieved over us on 9/11, and I would not be surprised if a mosque built at that site was used as a base for further actions against us. All the other rhetoric about what they will do there could be just a front.
Remember, the Sept. 11 terrorists were Muslim extremists who had no respect for human life, not even their own. Everything that they and other extremists do is in the name of Allah.
We have freedom of religion in this country, but we also have freedom from religion.
The planners should go somewhere far from ground zero with their plan for building a mosque.
