Plenty of men in suits but few gentlemen

Recently, at the New London train station, a kind attendant helped my elderly friend across the tracks in his wheelchair.

As they waited for the train, I came along, pushing my friend's walker and luggage with one hand while holding my baby in another.

Crossing the bumpy tracks made the luggage fall, and I struggled with one arm to pick it all up.

There must have been 10 guys in suits, all waiting for the train and holding minimal luggage, standing nearby, watching. But it was one well-dressed woman who came to my aid.

I didn't want to subject my son's ears to what I had to say to these gentlemen, but do hope their tickets were all one way.
