This summer, our community enjoyed another successful Waterford Week celebration. We were fortunate to have many volunteers who donated countless hours to provide our residents with fun-filled entertainment and events.
This year, as in the past, we owe the Waterford Week Committees heartfelt appreciation for their efforts. Committee members brought in events such as the "Touch A Truck" at the beach, with many different companies and the town represented. The parade has had many changes over the years and represents a lot of different interests and the committee makes every effort to keep it interesting and exciting for the viewing audience. We also tip our hat to the fire police for their volunteer work in managing traffic control for the various events.
As we take a year to recharge and rebuild the program for next year, we welcome any new members to the committee to assist with the planning and coordination of the events.
To all of the current members, I salute you for a job well done and look forward to an exciting 35th year of Waterford Week in 2011.
Kudos to them for their work.
