What a perfect title for a seafood fest at Mystic Seaport:
Fish & Ships.
Visitors can try seafood fresh from local docks, in between playing 19th-century games or checking out exhibits. Among the possibilities: lobster bake, $23 (lobster, clams, mussels, red bliss potato, corn and drawn butter); seared Bomster scallops with lemoncello on a bed of fennel slaw, $7; and oyster Rockfeller, $2 each or $5 for three.
The dishes are all made by seaport food service provider Coastal Gourmet.
This third annual Fish & Ships doesn't stint on the ships part of the equation either, with fishing demos next to the schooner L.A. Dunton and kids creating their own wooden toy boats to show off in a "Parade of the Fleet" on the Village Green.
There'll be games of 19th-century baseball and maritime musical performances, and youngsters can hear fish tales and make a fish print.
