Let this be a warning to Hurricane Earl: don't even try to disrupt Saturday's annual Labor Day weekend gig by the Reducers at Ocean Beach Park in New London.
For one thing, no one will know what to do if the Reducers don't officially end summer at Ocean Beach. We will all just wander the streets, dazed and aimless in our swimsuits, until around Halloween. At which time people will give us candy and congratulate us for our clever trick-or-treat surfer costumes.
For another, it's entirely possible the Reducers will present some brand new songs. This is not a promise, but it could really happen. That would be very cool.
