Old Lyme firefighters knock down a fire in a small boat at the Old Lyme Dock Co. around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday. Old Lyme Dock workers were unable to douse the fire despite using several fire extinguishers. The fire department deployed a chemical fire extinguisher and a hose line to bring the stubborn fire under control. There were no reported injuries and no other boats were damaged.
The Day hosted a web chat with New London Mayor Daryl J. Finizio to discuss the beginning of his new administration and news out of the city's police department.
