Why can't politicians tell us of their plans?

The problem with political ads is that they never give the audience an opportunity to know what the candidate is specifically going to do when he or she gets in office.

It would serve the public better and make members of the public more informed voters if the candidates would state categorically what their stand is or, more important, what legislation they would write, co-write or vote on.

Candidates love to say, "I have the experience to fix the economy" or " I have done such and such in the past." How are we, the voters, to know what specific ideas they have that will " fix the economy" or how their "past activity" will benefit the future.

Candidates should stop the negative campaigning and tell us specifically what they are going to do once they get in office and how they plan to do it.
