Cottrell Brewing is offering summer tours, tastings and sales for the first time since opening in 1996.
A new tasting bar and regular tour hours start this week, now that the brewery has received zoning approval.
Visitors can learn more about beer and brewing, sample the beer and buy a six or 12-pack, bottled fresh, to take home. The brewery can also fill empty growlers.
Tours on Monday to Wednesday are still by appointment, call (860) 599-8213 to schedule. There will be a tour at 3 p.m. on Thursdays; tours every half an hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays; and tours every half an hour from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
The brewery is located at 100 Mechanic St. in Pawcatuck. Take a left at the Cottrell sign and drive around the corner until you see the large red wall and more Cottrell Brewing signs.
