First Selectman Unk DaRos announced today that the Branford Land Trust just purchased the 34 acre Weil property in Stony Creek. The full purchase price was donated to the Land Trust by "...an anonymous friend of the Land Trust, Stony Creek, the Branford community and a personal friend of mine," according to DaRos.

The acquistion also protects an additional stretch of the 28-mile Branford walking trail (circling Branford from Pawson Park (overlooking Branford Harbor) to Branford Point.

"Protecting this part of the trail from future development ensures that it will be used and enjoyed by generations to come," said DaRos.
