Remembering 9/11

On Sept. 11, hundreds attended Let Freedom Soar on the Branford Green, an event sponsored by Branford Rotary to mark the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Speakers included U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman, First Selectman Unk DaRos, and NYFD (retired) Deputy Director of Dispatch Operations/Commissioners Liaison Joe Higgins. The event also featured honor guards the Connecticut Governor's Foot Guard, Corcoran Sundquist Post #83 American Legion Rifle Squad, and the U.S. Coast Guard Color Guard Long Island Sound and performances by the Branford High School Concert Choir and the Stony Creek Fife and Drum Corps.
