Although much recent attention has been focused upon the DaRos administration being called dishonest by the Connecticut Supreme Court in the Tabor Drive case, unfortunately that sad and shameful chapter in Branford history represents only part of DaRos's legacy of lies and deception.
Vexatious lawsuits, vindictive taxation, backroom zoning, stacked boards and commissions, abuse of power, civil rights violations, betrayal of the public trust, acting in bad faith, etc. all remain ongoing aspects of Branford Town Hall and the corruption that currently defines it.
In characteristically disingenuous form during the past election campaign, DaRos and his followers repeatedly made reference to dirty politics and underhanded tactics being used in reference to their record, when, in fact, all that was being said was the absolute truth. And, in no case-and to no surprise-were they able to refute any of the facts being put forth except with more lies and deception.
With this culture of dishonesty still seated within Branford government, it remains more important than ever that citizens remain mindful of the actions of local government and vigilant in protecting both their own rights and those of others.
To this end, the schedule of all town meetings can be found on the town website and a program listing of all videotaped meetings on the BCTV site.
