Before the start of Wednesday's council meeting, State Rep. Tom Reynolds presented former mayor Fred B. Allyn Jr., and former councilors Terry Jones, David Holdridge and Jim Diaz with citations for their service to the town.

"This year more than any other year, you have lost some pretty extraordinary members," Reynolds said.
