Lynn L D'Amato and John E Gaul were married at 4 p.m. on Nov. 5, 2011. The ceremony and reception were held at the Branford House at Avery Point in Groton. The ceremony, which took place on a nice sunny day, was officiated by Chaz Zezulka.
Lynn is the daughter of the late Alice D'Amato and was escorted by her brother-in-law, Joe Darrow. Lynn's Godmother, MaryAnn German and sister, Donna Darrow were also part of the ceremony. John is the son of Margaret Gaul and the late Edward Gaul of Groton.
Close friends Tracy and Steve Whitehead were the matron of honor and the best man. Jim Kintner was the usher.
Lynn received a certificate in architecture from Thames Valley in 1988 and started at Electric Boat in October of 1988 in the Marine Draftsman Association working in structural design. In 2010 she became a mechanical supervisor. John works for the City of Groton.
The couple resides in New London.
