Couple things here.

First, I'm sorry it's been so long between blog entries. This blogging thing is tricky. I love it, but its tricky. I promise to get better at it, and show up more often. Thanks for allowing me to grovel for a minute.

Last week the City police department packed the Municipal Building's auditorium for the promotion ceremony of three officers. Jamon Jennings sat beside Detective Dave Thomas, quietly watching what might become his future.

Jennings, 25, was watched intently, waiting patiently.

Later that night the City Council confirmed Jennings' appointment as the newest City of Groton Police recruit, Grade D.

The young man is now off to fill a last minute opening at the State Police Academy where he will undergo 22 weeks of training.
