The Henry Carter Hull Library, 10 Killingworth Turnpike, Clinton, will celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day on Saturday, Feb. 4 with a variety of activities for families with children of all ages.
At 11 a.m., author Nancy Elizabeth Wallace will read her book Valentine's Express and demonstrate for children in kindergarten through grade 3 how she crafted the book's vibrant, cut-paper illustrations. Participants will be able to create and take home a hand-made valentine. At 12:30 p.m., Curious Creatures invade the Community Room. Meet a variety of furry, scaly, and feathery live animals and learn about their habits and habitats. For children in kindergarten through grade 6.
Cookies With Nutmeg is at 1:30 p.m. Find out about the 2013 Nutmeg Book Award Nominees and enjoy a snack. No registration necessary. For grades 4 through 6.
