Concerning the situation with the New London Fire Department not having any minorities that qualify for a position: I would think that with all the highly trained men and women in our military that have come back from serving our country, there must be a few that would meet, if not exceed, the requirements for a New London firefighter. What an opportunity for the city to show support for our returning heroes.
