Michael P. “Mickey” Pedini, 55, of Branford, died in New Haven on Feb. 3.  He was the beloved companion of Lisa Demayo. Mr. Pedini was born in New Haven on Nov.11, 1956, son of the late Anthony and Dorothy Fisher Pedini. He was self-employed as a general contractor and was also a talented singer and musician who, along with his brother, performed with their group, “Old Ways.” He was also a member of Elks Lodge No. 1939 in Branford. Mr. Pedini was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.

Besides his companion, he is survived by five children, Brooke Besaw, Craig Marsden and his wife Vicki, Jessica Pedini Vacca and her husband John, Melissa Pedini Duquette and her husband Bill, and Amy Pedini Fowler and her husband Chris; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Guilanna, Dominic, Bill, Jr., Brody, and Craig, Jr.; his brother and best friend, Anthony “Nino” Pedini and his wife Cathy; four sisters, Lynda Douglas and her husband Richard, Diana Jackson and her husband Roy, Sylvia Sue Chapin and her husband Darryl, and Tina Pedini Gish and her husband Bob; and his nieces and nephews, Richard, Paul, Timothy, Cristen, Brenda, Darryl, Jr., Justin, Amanda, and Angela. He is also survived by his former wife, Chris Pedini, and his good friends, Bob and Janice Nacca.

A funeral service was held on Feb. 7 at the Clancy Funeral Home in East Haven, with a ritualistic service for members of Elks Lodge No. 1939 being held on Feb. 6.  Burial was in St. Agnes Cemetery.
