Consider the opportunity, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday, for the "Views & Vignettes" exhibit in New London's Gallery at Firehouse Square. The show features new works by six female artists - Lizbeth Maxson McGee, Randie Powers Kahrl, Jeanne O'Brien, Lorraine Yurkewicz, Diane Afton Aeschliman and Jennifer Holmes - and all will be on hand for a meet 'n' greet. Plus, Afton Aeschliman, Homes and Maxson McGee will present demonstrations for visitors. Very cool. "Views & Vignettes" runs through May 26. The Gallery at Firehouse Square at 239 Bank St., New London is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Mon.-Sat. Call (860) 443-0354 or visit firehousesquare.com.
