Arboretum announces photo contest winners

The Connecticut College Arboretum recently announced the winners of the 13th annual "Capturing the Beauty of Nature" photo competition. They are:

Children's Division

First Place: Bethany LaFramboise, Canterbury

Second Place: Christina Konstantinidis, Canterbury

Third Place: Kayleigh Waters, Griswold

Honorable Mention: Sarah French, Canterbury; Natalie Grayson, Norwich; Christina Konstantinidis, Canterbury; Alyson Wells, Canterbury

Teen Division

First Place: Aurora Hooper, Lebanon

Second Place: Jackie Zerio, Lebanon

Third Place: Madeline Kollegger, Columbia

Honorable Mention: Aiyana Dietel, Noank; Carley Dolan, Lebanon; Christine Mercado, Windham; Alyssa Tacchi, Lebanon

Adult Division

First Place: Bethany McMahon, New London

Second Place: Kathleen Scovish, Uncasville

Third Place: Jessica McLean, North Stonington

Honorable Mention: Tyler Fortier, Waterford; Kerri Ann Neville, Bozrah; Nick Parico, Ledyard (two honorable mentions); John Sargent, Quaker Hill

The winners were announced at the arboretum's Members' and Friends' Night on June 8. The 124 photos entered in the contest were taken in the arboretum within the past 18 months. All will be on display through Saturday, June 16, in the lobby of Olin Science Center. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
