So the number of new jobs created recently was lower than expected and, of course, Republican leaders are blaming the president, but, the Bush tax cuts, which favored the very rich on the GOP theory that they are "the job creators," have now been in affect some 12 years.
Why then aren't more new jobs being created? Also, President Obama proposed a jobs bill that would have created many thousands of jobs, upgrading our long neglected infrastructure (bridges, roads, etc.), but Republicans in the House blocked the proposal, obviously because they are more interested in defeating Obama in November than in creating jobs and improving our decaying infrastructure.
On Aug. 14 Connecticut Democrats and Republicans will choose their candidates for U.S. Senate and in several other races. Are you following the primary elections?
